As announced in my previous post, we will travel to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne again this year, for a short Tour de France 2022.
One stage that is going to be on the menu, is a rematch of the disastrous cluster fuck that was stage 12 of last year’s Tour.
As I now know there’s a col to be had, Col de la Loze, which was the “surprise” that eventually floored me last year, I will ride it this year…
That means I will have to travel Col de la Loze by myself, as it is closed to mototrized vehicles.
I’m not yet 100% sure of the route I will take, but my plan is to tackle Meribel (all of it) first, then travel Col de la Loze while Paula transfers by car to Courchevel, where we will reunite.
Depending on where I will enter Courchevel – in the circle of the image – there may be some or just little left of that climb to do.
Officially, the climb of Courchevel ends at the heliport…
I will then descend and take a detour to add Montagny from Bezel to the stage and end with the descent into Moutiers.
