Amore Infinito is the hash tag the Giro d’Italia uses on social media streams.
Yesterday, the official video for 2024’s route was released and I can’t stop watching 😂
I would love to get another Giro d’Italia of my own, but prices for apartments have skyrocketed over the past few years.
My first search in my favorite area – God’s backyard – centered around Corvara, returned only apartments costing > €4,000 for two weeks.
And Amore Infinito might be priceless, but our financial resources put a cap on it anyway…
Besides, Paula for sure will take me on a “beach holiday”, which typically will not be in the Dolomites.
We may compromise again, like we’ve done (several times) before.
You know, like Mallorca (long time ago), Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
These trips allow Paula to stick to the beach or pool and bake semi-comatose in the sun.
That same sun will burn me to a crisp, but on a bike, as I can cycle with or without a guide and wear myself out on the mountain/volcano ranges.
I have unfinished business on all of them, but as for me, I’d prefer Gran Canaria or Tenerife.
