Cyclopaat, an alter ego with a twist

And just like that, in what seems the blink of an eye, my Giro d’Italia 2025 is over.
In hindsight, I should have put more time in preparing myself physically than on planning the whole thing.
Okay, at least I thought I was in pretty good shape until I crashed into a car during my preparations.
But to be honest, I don’t think I was and even before we departed, I could see the problems coming from a mile away…
I have cycled all passes on my “100 Greatest” list for this Giro and I had another day left before heading home again.
Considering tomorrow would be another tough day, if I cycle the Kaunertaler Gletscherstrasse, I should’ve taken the day off.
The remaining stages of my Giro are dedicated to four passes on the “100 Greatest” list.
I had saved the hardest for the last: Passo del Vivione (#29) is 20 relentless kilometers long, the final 5 showing only grades of 9% or more…
Yesterday I ticked of two passes on the “100 Greatest” list, so I have two left.
As I didn’t want to go south of Edolo again, we drove to the far (west) end of the Valtellina valley for the Passo San Marco (#28).
The remaining stages of my Giro, I will try to get four passes on the “100 Greatest” list on my own “Been there, done that” list.
If I cycle all four, I will have completed 25 of the 100 on the list 🥳
As they are all relatively far from Bormio, I will probably spend more time in the car than on the bike.
