I’m participating in the ‘IJsselmeer Challenge’ on June 22nd, which is a loop around the IJsselmeer – hence the name, I guess…
If you ride this challenge in full, you will cycle 300 km – that’s over the top for me, so I’m “just” cycling the bottom – southern – part.
I’ve done that before – it’s some 150 km, but it can be extended with the optional loop through West Frisia.
West Frisia is an area in the province of North Holland, on the opposite side of the IJsselmeer from the province of Frisia.

The charity the organizers have partnered up with this year, is the Dutch Brain Tumor Foundation.
There’s no push to actually raise money in order to be able to participate, but it is
obviously a good thing to try/do 😎
